Football Season BEGINS!!!...My Take

My name is MykellSade and this is my first time entering blogworld. In my world I wanna talk sports. My blogs and my blogs ONLY will be about sports. I encourage all sports enthusiast to follow me. I look forward to your comments and I look forward to reading your blogs as well. With all that said like all of the rest of America I have been impatiently waiting for the beginning of football season. Nothing against baseball, but all you do after the NBA Finals is pretty much slave away through the dogdays of summer to get to September where you can get some of your serenity back through football. Its time for man to man coverage, long passes, interceptions, beer, chips, and hard nose htting and tackling to get your motor running once again.

With all those intentions I tuned in thursday night at 8:30. On one side you have the SuperBowl Champion New York Giants. Its funny even though they emerged last year to be the best team in the NFL they came into the game under the radar. Apart of no conversations in the offseason and involved in none of the drama that would become of the offseason. An offseason offseason which saw Tim Tebow moving to New York with the other team that shares the MetLife Stadium, the Jets, Eli's older brother leaving the Colts, the team he helped to build and going to the Broncos and the Bounty scandal with the New Orleans Saints. With all that action no one mentioned the CHAMPS.
Ironically, that is how they like it. My personal take on the Giants makes them this team that perfotms this ultra sneak attack on the league every year. Everyone becomes so surprised by them. When no one is talking about the giants do there best work.

On the otherhand you have the Dallas Cowboys. A team that cant seem to escape drama whether the season is on or off. "America's Team" cant seem to catch a break. You wonder are the expectations too high for them. They are expected every year to be one of the top teams in the NFL and in some shape or form fall from grace. Its your decision whether or not you take them down from the pedestal you put them on or not. Quite frankly I think its time to throw it under the rug until they actually produce. Win when it counts and they havent yet.

The game starts off a little sluggish. Im not even gonna lie I was waiting and waiting for it to get kickstarted. After halftime I got my wish and both teams started producing productive drives. I must admit the Cowboys look good. Congratulations to Kevin Olgetree. This game was his comingout party. I believe that Tony Romo has a new favorite target finally giving Jason Witten some leadway.  The Cowboys sustain a lead. With that said you cant get too serious when the cowboys get a lead, especially with the Giants involved. The comeback Kings. However, there was a change of events. The 4th Quarter always sees the Giants steamrolling back and winning the game, but this time the second half saw them coming apart at the seams. Nothing went right as they would want it to at all. Putting their stitches back together were the Cowboys who always seem to get the knockout punch in the meadowlands. And what do you know the Cowboys KEPT A LEAD! Well I'll be! Final score Cowboys 24, Giants 17. Does this game put Dallas already at the top of what the NFC East will become. Ok, lets not get carried away yet. I thought the Giants would win, however I was wrong.

The prelude to football season went pretty well. With an array of more games to come on sunday  its so interesting to see how this season unfolds. Personally, im looking forward to the Redskins vs the Saints. On paper Bounty scandal or not you expect the Saints to win the first couple of games. The Redskins havesnt produced a winning season in so long. However, with the drafting of RGIII th hope in the Nations Capital seems to be resurgant. If the Saints win they did what they are supposed to do...If they lose they are effected more than you thought they were. If the Skins lose they got a long way to go...If they win there is a chance for things to get better. The "What ifs " are what makes Football so magical. Stay tuned to the season and this blog.
